Satisfactory Multiplayer Lag Fix
Satisfactory Multiplayer has had some issues with stability and lagging with its multiplayer option. Now you can do two things, you can either host your own dedicated server. Or you can use this guide to Fix Satisfactory Multiplayer lag!
Note
You are going to be editing configuration files on your system, please make sure that you back up all the files before making changes to make sure that you don't break your system.
Step 1: Prerequisites
- For this guide you’ll only need to have Satisfactory installed!
Step 2: Find the correct files
First of all, we need to find the correct files to change, this can be done by following the next steps:
- Open your file explorer by pressing + E.
- Copy and paste the following path:
%AppData%\..\Local\FactoryGame\Saved\Config\Windowsnoeditor\- In the configuration folder you have the following files:
- Copy all the files to a safe location so that if anything goes wrong, you still have a backup.
Step 3: Fix the Lag!
- Open the Engine.ini file and find and change the values of the following lines to:
[/Script/Engine.Player]
ConfiguredInternetSpeed=104857600
ConfiguredLanSpeed=104857600
[/Script/OnlineSubsystemUtils.IpNetDriver]
MaxClientRate=104857600
MaxInternetClientRate=104857600
[/Script/SocketSubsystemEpic.EpicNetDriver]
MaxClientRate=104857600
MaxInternetClientRate=104857600 ```- Open the Game.ini file and find and change the values of the following lines to:
[/Script/Engine.GameNetworkManager]
TotalNetBandwidth=104857600
MaxDynamicBandwidth=104857600
MinDynamicBandwidth=10485760- Save both files
- Right-click both the files and select Properties
- Check the “Read-Only” box to make sure that your changes will not be overwritten:
- Click Apply then OK
- Start Satisfactory
- Under Options > Gameplay change the network quality to Ultra:
- Click Apply
And you are done!
Note
Please do not forget to let everyone who wants to connect to your session make the same changes to prevent lag!
